You have to push the door of the white and red church of the Sacred Heart of Tyé to discover, from the interior of its intimate but luminous choir, the slender lines of its wooden arches recalling those of Nouméa cathedral. Its colorful 19th century stained glass windows from Grenoble contrast with the local dark wood of the pulpit and baptismal fonts made by the island's penitentiary labor.
