Men were traditionally responsible for hunting and fishing, primary sources of food for Inuit people. Women's duties included gathering other sources of food, such as eggs and berries, and preparing the food the hunters brought back, as caribou, polar bear, and muskox. Nowadays, the Canadian hunt is well regulated.
