The Confrérie des Chevaliers du Tastevin (Brotherhood of Knights of the Wine-Tasters) has intended to be the resurgence of the medieval wine brotherhoods of Bacchus since 1934. Its members maintain the values of the Burgundian winegrowers and, inspired by Rabelais, the pleasures of the table. Each year, they organize Tastevinage operations (blind tastings) in order to reward the best wines of viticultural Burgundy, Chablis, and Beaujolais. The silver cup of the Knights is sometimes adorned with cupulettes (or hollows) which allow the ruby color of the wine to be appreciated.
