Restored thanks to shows and events

Bombed in August 1944, the citadel of Sisteron has been restored since 1956 thanks in particular to the shows and events organized by the Arts, Theatre, Monuments (ATM) association. A green theater was built there in 1928 when the city bought the site three years after it was listed as a Historical Monument. In July and August, it hosts Les Nuits de la Citadelle, one of the oldest music, dance, and theater festivals in France.
