Saint-Lazarus Chapel in Gorbio in the Alpes-Maritimes department was restored by the municipality in partnership with the Heritage Foundation between 2015 and 2017. A call for donations was launched to raise the 120,000 euros needed to safeguard this heritage, which became municipal property in 1905 following the law of separation of Church and State. This subscription launched by the Foundation of France followed two previous ones that allowed the restoration of the facades of Saint-Bartholomew Church and the Chapel of the White Penitents.
