Unlike the gray shark, to which it resembles in more massive and powerful, the silvertip shark does not gather but evolves alone or in pair. Sedentary enough, it frequents the deep waters and approaches the reefs when it is attracted to them. The sharp dentition of its lower jaw catches its preys while the triangular teeth of its upper jaw shred them.
