The reproduction of the yellow-legged gulls ensures the survival of the species and depends on the improvement of their vital relational and nutritional functions. Their sexual dimorphism is low even though the males are on average larger than the females who have a higher forehead. The pairs already formed in previous years meet at the nesting site and re-mate in the spring after the winter separation.
