The parish church dedicated to Saint Bartholomew in Gorbio in the Alpes-Maritimes department is representative of rustic Baroque art. This architectural style is frequent in the mountainous hinterland of the Nice region. The construction of the church completed in 1683 was decided in 1670 and approved by the Bishop of Ventimiglia to replace the old church gnawed by moisture and which had become too small.
