The expansion project of the Unterlinden Museum in Colmar, completed in 2015, included an urban planning dimension. The street that separated the former convent from the Municipal Baths, which were disused in 2003 and included in the project, became pedestrianised. The Sinn Canal, which was covered in the rest of the district, is once again open to the sky over a length of about 100 metres. The northern façade of the former convent, restored by the Monuments Historiques, can be admired from its banks, which have been treated with pink sandstone steps. This is now the main entrance to the museum.
