Relationship of the mother and baby vervet
1
0
From 2 weeks to 3 months, the young vervet starts to move away from its mother and explores its habitat. She does not take her eyes off it and occasionally
brings it back to her. At about 4 months, the mother stops worrying about her baby, except in extreme danger, while hearing a warning call for instance. It keeps on observing and reproducing its mother's movements and suckles until the age of 6 to 8 months.
