Wooded savannahs, dense thickets, riparian formations with acacias located not far from water, are the habitats of predilection of the greater kudu. Its diet includes more than 140 plant species with a preference for leaves and young twigs of woody species of Acacia – whose pods it also eats - and Combretum.
