In the Corsican mountains, herds of wild horses gallop freely on the plateau of Tenda in the Nebbiu, on the plateau of Coscione in the Alta Rocca, and on the plateau of Camputile in the Rotondo massif. This Corsican horse, called paganacce or cavallu corsu is a specific breed from the island which has fully adapted to this mountainous and rocky territory.
