The Explorers
The Explorers
The island of Rapa is the vestige of a volcanic cone hence its jagged relief. Its area is ​​about 23.6sqmiles (38km2) and it culminates at 2132ft (650m) at Mount Perau. It has a series of peaks exceeding 1312ft (400m). Transportation is exclusively maritime and approaches require caution. Its population is concentrated in the two villages of Haurei and Area.
