If hikers go on the Sancy ridges with their skis in winter, a formula allows them to combine the purchase of a cable car and funicular ride to hike in the area from June to September. They can choose to leave Mont-Dore resort by funicular and reach the summit of Sancy on foot from the Capucin by the ridge trail before returning by cable car. The other option is to go up by cable car from the foot of Sancy, hike on the ridges and descend to Capucin to return by funicular to Mont-Dore.
