This emblematic site of Champagne indeed offers one of the most beautiful views of the Champagne vineyards. Verzenay suffered significant damage in 14/18. It also served as an observatory during the First and Second World Wars. The Moulin de Verzenay was restored in 1949 under the leadership of Mr. Rémy, director of the Heidsieck vineyard at the time. Carpentry, carpentry and painting work has been undertaken. The four wings redone and fixed after a devastating storm in 1999. Currently part of the G.H Mumm house, it is a listed historical monument.
