Built in 1640 on the mountainside of a 2.5 acres (1 ha) estate located in the historic heart of Grasse in the Alpes-Maritimes department, the main building with terracotta walls and verdigris shutters of the Fontaines Parfumées estate was abandoned for about fifty years. It was finally purchased and renovated by the LVMH (Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton) group in 2012. Adapted to welcome the master perfumers of Louis Vuitton and Christian Dior houses since 2016, the Fontaines Parfumées have regained their splendor as a high place dedicated to French perfumery.
