Puma, an American cat
3
0
Despite appearances, the puma (Puma concolor) is closer to cats than jaguars (Panthera onca): it purrs when it is satisfied, it blows to express its discontent and does not roar. Both of them are Felidae from a different genus.
But like the jaguar, it is an excellent swimmer and it has a powerful musculature, which allows it to jump up to 4 m high without needing momentum. When they share the same territory. The puma hunts smaller prey and leaves the large herbivores to its congener.
