The Fonderie Cornille-Havard is almost as it was when the engineer Adolphe Havard took it over in 1865. He had the large workshop built, which still exists today, and developed its activities abroad. Havard joined forces with his son-in-law Léon Cornille in 1903, and the company became Cornille-Havard. Identical since the opening, the large double-vaulted reverberatory furnace is used to cast large pieces. Another oven from the 1950s serves for smaller bells (less than 1,100 lbs / 500 kg).
