The west zone of the Lorraine Regional Nature Park relies on sustainable tourism in accordance with its environment's preservation. It comprises Madine Lake that attracts more than 250 bird species on its waters. The National Reserve for Hunting and Wild Fauna that supervises the site has therefore set up distant observatories. They allow preserving the animals from human impact while introducing an increasing number of visitors to ornithology.
