The classification of the natural landscapes and agricultural activities of the Cap Bénat region and the Brégançon site ensures their adequate preservation. This process was motivated by the request of the large landowners, and especially the wine producers, in parallel with the French State, attentive to protect the sites against the creation of the Corniche Varoise by the departmental council of Var. It has made it possible to maintain the aesthetic unity of the ensemble, still characterized by forests, vineyards, and a succession of beaches in their natural state.
