2
0
Massive despite their fingerings, porites are compact and solid bio-builder corals. Their slow growth and their longevity increase their resistance to predators. Even dead, they play a central role in the coral ecosystems by forming, thanks to the strength of their skeleton, a new hard substrate on which many other organisms develop.
