Access to the imposing entrance to the Cité de l'Automobile is via a footbridge spanning the Rhône-Rhine canal. This space was designed by Studio Milou in 2006 when the museum's new reception areas were created. A spectacular door in wood, glass, and steel stands dressed with an unusual suspension of cars symbolizing creation and human imagination. Once past the entrance, a video wall displays extracts from films in which the automobile becomes an actress.
