Poinsettia Riverfire Monument in Brisbane, Australia
2
0
The Poinsettia Riverfire Monument with a height of 10.5 meters celebrates the floral emblem of the city Brisbane and the annual Riverfire Festival.
Brisbane adopted the Poinsettia, a native of Mexico, in the year 1930.
Today, the flower symbolises the increasing flamboyant cultural mix of the population in Brisbane.
Arching skyward in an aspiring and uplifting way like Fireworks, the Poinsettia Riverfire Monument aims to inspire optimism and lotus-like evoke a sense of the transcendental. The tongues of flame bracts herald transition to a new era.
