The Explorers
The territory of the municipality of Poindimié, located on the east coast of Grande-Terre in the North Province of the island, is dotted with several valleys (Tchamba, Amoa, Tiwaka) oriented from west to east and enclosed between the mountainous lines of the Central Chain. The municipality, dominated by the Katalupaik which rises to 3,579ft (1,091m) meters, descends to the sea which it borders for about 2.4mi (4km).
