Higher than the Eiffel Tower

The Millau Viaduct crosses the Tarn valley between the Causse Rouge and the Causse du Larzac. At some 1,125 ft (343 m) of altitude, it is higher than the Eiffel Tower (1,082 ft / 330 m), and the open view of the valley and the mountains has aroused the desire for discovery among motorists. At the exit of the highway, an old Caussenarde farm has been fitted out with a belvedere and an information center on the major sites of Occitania, the Causses, and the Cévennes.
