In the Cusuco National Park lives a unique specie of frog, endemic to this region of the world: Plectrohyla exquisita. This species is probably one of the biggest tree frogs of the National Park. One of its special characteristics is the bone excrescence it has on the thumb, and that it uses to defend itself.
