La playa negra de Reynisfjara al fondo desde unos acantilados en Vik i Myrdal. Al final se distinguen los islotes Reynisdrangar.
La leyenda islandesa dice que fueron troles que, en su empeño por arrastrar unos barcos a la orilla, no advirtieron que amanecía y los rayos del sol los convirtieron en piedra.
Los Reynisdrangar son tres rocas monolíticas de casi 66 metros de altura.
