Acryllucum vulturinum. Es un ave galliforme que vive en las sabanas del Africa Oriental desde Tanzania a Etiopía.
Mide entre 60-70 centímetros, es un ave con cuerpo redondo y cabeza pequeña. De adulto tiene la cara azul desnuda y el cuello negro. Se asemeja al buitre en la zona de su cabeza. Su plumaje es de un espectacular azul cobalto y el resto es negro. No hay dimosfirmo sexual aunque la hembra es de menor tamaño.
Es una especie gregaria y forma bandadas con unas 25 aves. Su alimento son semillas y algún invertebrado. Solo vuelan en caso de alarma y huida. Ponen entre 4 y 8 huevos que esconde entre hierba y maleza.
