The coastal pine forest of Bastidon extends over 47 acres (19 ha) and has been a property of the Coastal Protection Agency managed by the municipality of La Londe-les-Maures since 1995. On its seafront, the forest presents afforestation of very mature stone pines (Pinus pinea) with high landscape value. Behind, a temporary wetland covered with reed beds and marshy meadows contributes to the site's diversity of habitats.
