Coffee trees'fruits, the drupes, are round, pulpy berries that grow in clusters along branches. They contain two coffee beans surrounded by a shell. The cherry is first green and hard, then it takes an orange hue when beginning to ripen. Eight to nine months after bloom, the fruit takes a bright red color and is mature to harvest.
