Philippe Pot's works

In 1457, Philippe III of Burgundy donated the castle of Châteauneuf-en-Auxois to his advisor and godson Philippe Pot. During the thirty years which followed, this knight accustomed to the splendours of the court of Burgundy did not cease to transform the place and improve its conditions of life. In particular, he undertook the construction of a new flamboyant Gothic style dwelling next to which he had the chapel - that can be seen here - built. Dedicated to Notre-Dame, it was consecrated in 1481.
