The Mounts of Reims regional natural park is located in the west of the Marne department. The extreme diversity of soils, subsoils and micro climates, has led Alsatian producers to keep a wide range of grape varieties. They favor plant biodiversity and offer them optimal conditions of expression. The climate is degraded oceanic. In Alsace, it is distinguished by the alternation of hot days and cool nights in autumn, conditions conducive to slow and prolonged ripening of the grapes.
