Perfume and scent plants

The gardens of the Musée International de la Parfumerie offer an open-field cultivation space and a landscaped area for various collections of fragrant or aromatic plants that are the sources of the fragrances and olfactory notes used in perfumery. Perfume plants, such as rose or jasmine, the extracts of which are used as raw materials, and scented plants, like honeysuckle or peony, constitute a constant source of inspiration and model for the perfumers who copy or synthetically recreate their fragrance.
