In the Arctic, it may seem difficult to orient oneself in the sea ice or the snow-covered tundra, without roads or trails. Nonetheless, Inuit people are very mobile, traveling for hunting, fishing, and trapping. They find their bearings in particular thanks to a very precise observation of the different forms drawing by the landscape (hills, sharp or rounded peaks...).
