Pavillon et aile Marsan - Musée du Louvre

Le pavillon de Marsan se trouve à l’extrémité nord-ouest du palais du Louvre. Il faisait partie du palais des Tuileries. Il doit son nom à la Comtesse de Marsan, gouvernante, à partir de 1721, des enfants de France notamment les futurs rois Louis XVI et Louis XVIII, qui habitait dans ce bâtiment.
Détruit lors de l’incendie des Tuileries en 1871, il a été reconstruit à partir de 1874.
Depuis 1905, le pavillon et l’aile attenante abritent le Musée des Arts Décoratifs.
