Paul Bergamo carries on the traditions

It is not known whether the bells brought Paul Bergamo to Villedieu-les-Poêles, but he did not escape their call for long. After a dual degree from the Caen Business School and Leeds University in England, he returned to the foundry where he was brought up. In 2012, he bought Cornille-Havard from his father, with the aim of continuing the family tradition. Paul Bergamo uses modern technology to develop his models, but retains the ancestral gestures of the master smelters: “It’s a craft of passion. One must have the desire to surpass oneself, to make use of the best of tradition and technology”.
