The 2,844 Saturninoises and Saturninois living in Saint-Saturnin-lès-Apt benefit both from the natural environment of the Luberon Regional Nature Park and the historical and cultural heritage of their village. It still houses two 12th-century windmills as well as the remains of a medieval fortress and three fortified enclosures from the 13th, 14th and 16th centuries that dominate the dam. Aiguiers with open-air impluvium and bories (stone huts) are reminiscent of 19th-century pastoralism. Finally, every Tuesday morning, the village comes alive around its market.
