The Tellure mining park extends on a silver mine that has existed since 1549. In 2009, the site created a via ferrata that allows discovering its numerous galleries. Several routes for caving and climbing are available in the vast 16th-century network. After the discovery of the Saint-Jean vein in 1549, the region experienced a silver fever, and 2 to 3,000 miners lived off the mine. The length of the galleries is estimated to be a total of 186 mi (300 km), and only 37 mi (60 km) have been explored by present expeditions.
