It is rare for city dwellers to find a leisure area this close to their home. Located in the centre-west of the Champagne-Ardenne region, in the Marne department, the Montagne de Reims Regional Nature Park is surrounded by three “gateway cities”: Reims (to the north), Epernay (to the south), and Châlons-en-Champagne (to the east). Their inhabitants see the park as a breathing space and come there to relax on the weekends. Around the springs, ponds, and rivers that dot the landscape, they can come across dragonflies and amphibians, attached to the ambient humidity of these environments.
