Located at 1013ft (309m) above sea level, the Ga Wiwaek pass offers a panoramic view of Hienghène bay and its immutable sentinel - the famous rock of the Brooding Hen - as well as of the Lindéralique lagoon. Surrounded by reliefs covered with colonial pines and niaoulis, it is accessible by a path departing from the Goa Ma Bwarhat cultural center in Hienghène which - for the record - means 'crying while walking'.
