Pahini, the green turtle, was released

Victim of harpoon poaching, the green turtle Pahini joined the Te mana o te moana Care Center* on September 10th. She had been found with the arrow still lodged in her neck. The association teams immediately intervened to extract the arrow and set up antibiotic treatment, thus avoiding any infection risk. With this quick care, Pahini quickly showed great liveliness.
After a few weeks of observation and rehabilitation at the Center, she was released by Horomea, the resident who rescued her and called the association!
* Sea turtle care center authorized by the Direction of the Environment of French Polynesia
