Dani women are easily recognizable. They always wear their noken, a headband in which they carry provisions or their children. In the Dani society, they exert important roles. They cultivate the fields and harvest the salt out of the sacred water source of Iluerainma. They use the clay of the river as a makeup to express their identity.
