Endemic to New Caledonia, Oxera neriifolia, is a subspecies of the Verbenaceae family found throughout the Territory, except the Loyalty Islands. Adept of all types of soils with ultramafic and sedimentary substrates and fast growing, it is used for the vegetal restoration of the Caledonian mining sites thanks to its good tolerance to high nickel concentrations.
