Orientation of the moon in South Africa
5
0
The orientation of the moon as seen in the sky depends on the latitude of observation on Earth. In the mid-South latitudes as in South Africa, the moon rises in the East with its South-East side (Mare Nectaris) up, it culminates in the North with its South pole at the top, it sets in the West with its South-West side (Mare Humorum) at the top.
