Orcas observed in Polynesia
4
0
A dozen orcas, well-known by the Mata Tohora association, were sighted nearly 500 meters from the Maupiti pass. Always on the move, orcas are great nomads. Although they are present all year round in Polynesian waters, little is known about this species in Polynesia from a scientific point of view, since they are very difficult to observe.
Fishermen like Warren, Mata Tohora devotee, Tohora Bora Bora and many others, are lucky enough to meet them regularly, and always by chance. The information they pass on to the association is valuable to learn a little more about this species of Delphinidae.
