Built on the site of the EDF Tower destroyed in 2007, the Sequana Tower is at the heart of the Seine Ouest business district, on the border between Paris and Issy-les-Moulineaux. It is named after the deity of the Seine, to which it is near. The 100-metre high tower has high environmental and energy performance. The architect Bernardo Fort-Brescia of Arquitectonica studied the orientation of the building at length in order to optimise natural lighting. The 450 photovoltaic panels on the roof, the solar collectors that supply hot water and the rainwater recovery system contribute to an energy saving of 40%.
