After some security work and a light refreshing, the Fort de Brégançon was opened to the public from June 2014 on the initiative of President François Hollande. Directly managed by the Presidency of the Republic, the site is open all year round on reservation through the Bormes-les-Mimosas tourist office. Particularly popular with visitors during the Journées du Patrimoine (Local heritage days), the tour of the Fort de Brégançon allows understanding the impact of the successive presidents, as well as their personal relationship to art and heritage.
