World-famous among cyclists, the Mont Ventoux is more confidentially home to one of the oldest ski resorts in France, the Mont Serein resort, open to skiers since the early 1930s. Located between 4,593 and 6,269 ft (1,400 and 1,911 m) above sea level on the north face of the Giant of Provence, it offers a 7.4 mi (12 km) family alpine ski area spread over 18 slopes of all levels and equipped with eight ski lifts. As for snowshoe enthusiasts, they can enjoy three marked trails within the resort.
