Decided in 1859, it was not until 1877 that the project in Romano-Byzantine style by the architect Paul Héneux was retained. Saint-Paul Church then experienced a chaotic and fragmented construction until 1965. In 1999, signs of advanced wear showed, and the concrete of the dome cracked. A block came off, and the church was closed to the public in 2003. The town hall called on Cult Space, a specialist in the conversion of heritage sites. Saint-Paul Church could become a cultural center in the years to come.
