On the west coast of Corsica, an isolated hamlet is nestled at the bottom of the Gulf of Girolata, between the blue of the sky and the sea and the red of the volcanic rocks. This protected special place is only accessible by a bridle path or by boat. The bay is famous for the capture of the Turkish corsair Dragute by the Genoese fleet in the 16th century.
